PREPARATIONS are under way for Aberfeldie Primary's annual school fete.
Grade 5 and 6 children played a key role deciding what goodies were on offer at the fete, debating the merits of each product and analysing the 'profit potential' for fund-raising.
Stalls decided on by the pupils include secondhand book stalls, plants, a variety of foods — including a barbecue and tea and coffee.
An outdoor stage is also expected to create a buzz with martial arts and gymnastics demonstrations, the 'Purple Tusks Big Band, the Buckley Park College Band and a special guest DJ will finish off the evening.
Carnival rides, including the Cha Cha, Cup and Saucer, The Hurricane and the Giant Super Slide, will ensure anyone that developed a taste for scary rides at the recent Melbourne Show can also get their fix. The entertainment starts at 3.30pm and features a raffle draw at 7.30pm.
