PAST and present Moonee Valley councillors have been re-interviewed by the Local Government Investigations and Compliance Inspectorate.
The interviews are part of its continuing investigation into financial matters relating to alleged pay rises to former council chief executive officer Rasiah Dev.
The Moonee Valley Weekly reported in February that the council was under dual investigation into financial matters relating to the alleged pay increases and a Niddrie land purchase.
Mr Dev, now chief executive officer at Darebin City Council, denied any knowledge of the investigation.
The Weekly now understands the investigation is solely concentrating on allegations that the former chief executive was given an unauthorised 5 per cent pay rise during 2008.
It is understood that a council whistleblower approached the inspectorate with the allegations, which centre on variations to the terms of Mr Dev's employment contract that were not approved by the full council.
The inspectorate refused to comment on the investigation.
