London 2012: Georgia Nanscawen a key as Hockeyroos roll through USA

ESSENDON Hockey Club product Georgia Nanscawen was a prominent part of Australia's 1-0 win against USA on Thursday night.

The Hockeyroos moved into second place on the Group B table with two wins and one loss after Anna Flanagan's first-half goal separated the two teams.

Nanscawen played a forward role and was a influential in her half of the pitch as part of Australia's busy bench rotation.

Group B remains wide open and Australia's next opponent is the one outlier, last-placed South Africa, from 5.30pm on Saturday (Melbourne Time).
