VIC Metro couldn't back up its opening win at the AFL under-16 national championships as it lost twice in Western Sydney last week.
The team stacked with talent from the Calder Cannons and Western Jets pipped Vic Country by a point in its opener but couldn't back the result up against WA or SA.
WA took out the division 1 title, thanks in no small part to its Tuesday win against Vic Metro, 11.10 (76) to 7.4 (46).
Maribyrnong Park footballer Touk Miller was in the best for two of Vic Metro's three games, while fellow Maribyrnong College student Dillon Viojo-Rainbow kicked five goals for the tournament, three against WA.
Moonee Valley's Peter Wright, Keilor duo Paul Ahern and Jayden Laverde, Aberfeldie's Victor Carboni and Greenvale's Artur Petryshyn were also members of the Vic Metro team.
