Bombers too good for Moonee Ponds

15 Feb, 2011 12:00 AM
ESSENDON has kept its finals hopes alive after beating arch-rival Moonee Ponds in Henselite premier division at the weekend.

Brad Willoughby's big rink victory against Wayne Turley made the difference as Essendon won 14-99 to 4-89 at Windy Hill.

Essendon has 149 points and is fifth on the table from its 13 completed games.

Moonee Ponds' hopes of finishing second took a blow, its 165 points from 14 played behind Clayton, which is leading on 191 (14 played) and Altona (168 from 14).
