ST Bernards' OC staved off outright defeat against Airport West-St Christophers to remain just above the relegation zone of Victorian Turf Cricket Association senior division at the weekend.
Rolled for 76 in its first innings in reply to the Saints' 8-257, the Snowdogs had to survive 27 overs to reach stumps.
The dominant win keeps Airport West-St Christophers top of senior division with 62.79 points from Hoppers Crossing on 61.04 points.
St Bernards, in contrast, sits 10th on the table with 39.56 points, ahead of relegation zone teams Royal Park-Brunswick (36.52) and Williamstown CYMS (27.51).
Luke Macumber's 3-10 led a bowling card of impressive figures for Saints bowlers as StBernards was all out for 76 in its first innings.
But the Snowdogs found some resistance in the second dig to face 27 overs and reach stumps at 4-68.
In North division, Youlden Parkville occupied the crease long enough to deny Doutta Stars a shot at outright victory.
After passing the home team's 184, Doutta Stars declared at 8-228 with Aaron Mato scoring 60 and Bilal Shafayat 70.
Shafayat (4-29) and Rajan Aiyappan (3-19) did the bulk of the damage as Youlden Parkville reached 9-111 in its second innings, lasting 38 overs until stumps.
Old Essendon Grammarians were in a close contest against Keilor Park until Steve Maitland scored a century from No.7.
Keilor Park fell to 6-147 chasing OEG's 187 only for Maitland (106) and Daniel Wilcocks (30) to put together a match-winning 142-run partnership.
Keilor Park finished at 302.
OEG lost 5-38 off just nine overs before stumps was called.
Footscray United (137 and 9-92) held on to avoid outright defeat against Strathmore (183).
The results leave Doutta Stars (64.21 points) second on the ladder behind Keilor (69.17 points) while Strathmore sits seventh and Old Essendon Grammarians 10th in the division.
In North A1, Moonee Valley (194) won outright against Aberfeldie (113 and 51), East Keilor (8-412) defeated Werribee Centrals (217), Aberfeldie (136) lost to Jacana (215 and 161) and Flemington (136 and 51) lost to Laverton (181 and 1-9).
Top performers on Saturday were East Keilor's Adam Brodie (190) and Moonee Valley's Craig Pridham (7-11).
