KENSINGTON children's performers Amanda and Jade are getting back to nature for their next show, A Play in the Park for Children.
Part of Two Friends Productions, the new children's theatre company is committed to presenting plays based on the lives of historical figures and on natural science in the most engaging and comic way possible.
Experienced children's performers, Amanda and Jade are graduates of the acting course at the Ballarat University Arts Academy.
They founded the company last year and have enjoyed success working closely with Sovereign Hill in Ballarat and various schools.
A Play in the Park for Children revolves around Bridget and Amy, two young girls from different parts of the world who travel in space on a mission to find The Great Bear - a constellation that has gone missing.
While there, the girls meet other constellations all with quirky characters and learn about indigenous stories of Australia's constellations, the Southern Cross and the differences between the northern and southern skies.
A Play in the Park for Children is on at the Women's Peace Park, Epsom Road, Kensington, at noon on Sunday. Gold coin donation entry.
